Better Off Out
Why the UK will thrive outside of the European Union
- We will return to our own Parliament all those powers given away by the political elite. No longer will unelected European Commissioners, Frankfurt bankers or the time servers of the so-called European Parliament determine the laws by which we live. We will reassert our right to be governed by our own elected representatives at Westminster. We shall once again be in charge of our own destiny as a nation and a people
- We will cease to pay vast sums, amounting, from 2007, to at least 6 billion pounds every year, to the EU, funds which currently disappear by way of massive frauds, are used to pay bureaucrats to produce endless regulations which damage our economy and our freedom to decide upon how our own money should be spent, or are spent on improving the infrastructure of other EU states, while ours is neglected. We will free ourselves of the grotesque Common Agricultural Policy, which is wrecking our countryside and increasing food prices, reject the Common Fisheries Policy so that we can take back our fishing grounds, save our fishing industry and ensure our own manufacturing industry is free to produce the jobs we need
- We shall resume our rightful place as a global nation, again trading freely with our historic partners in the Commonwealth and the English speaking world, while benefiting from the new opportunities arising within the emerging nations such as China. This will enable us to expand our economy, generate greater employment and guarantee our children the sound economic future they deserve. Contrary to the scare stories put out by the EU leaving will lead to many more, not fewer jobs in this country
- We will continue to be friends with, and to trade with, our fellow Europeans but we will escape the economic and political straightjacket which is strangling the prosperity of the nations currently members of the EU and avoid the inevitable decline which now faces this inward looking, protectionist bloc
